AGTA BEACH RESORT
Location
Almeria, Biliran, a 30-minute ride from Naval.

MARIPIPI ISLAND
Location
One-hour and 30 min. away from Naval by motorboat.
Description
An island municipality of Biliran with 13 barangays.
Attractions
An island rich in marine life, coral gardens, scenic coco-lined beaches;
popular source of ceramic pots. The ruins of a pre-Spanish era watchtower
beside the San Miguel Parish Church.
HIGATANGAN ISLAND
Location
A 45-minute cruise from Naval by motorboat. Closer to the tip of Leyte.
Facilities
Picnic tables and boats.
Attractions
Moving sandbar extending about 200 meters to the sea; one huge coral
rock-a-reef that was thrust up from the ocean's floor centuries ago. The
fields are studded with gigantic clam shells measuring up to a meter wide.
The island has several white sand beaches sprinkled with exotic shells newly
washed up from the seabed. Facing an open sea, the white sand beach, cool
pristine waters and exotic rock formations of Higatangan Island is itself nature
at its best.
TOMALISTIS FALLS
Location
A 20-minute cruise from Caibiran by motorboat.
Attractions
This falls has unbelievably clear and sweet-tasting waters said to be a
wondrous elixir capable of legendary healing powers. Up to seven others
falls are to be found in less accessible spots that would attract adventurous
tourists.
MAINIT HOT SPRING
Location
Approximately 40 minutes ride by jeepney from Naval via the cross-country
road to Caibiran.
Description
Offering concrete seats where warm water with medicinal sulfur content
overflows, the hot spring provides soothing comfort to tourists and adventurers.
MASAGONGSONG POOL
Location
The resort can be reached through a 40-minute ride from Naval and another 10
minutes from the poblacion of Kawayan.
Facilities
Amenities which include a conference hall, kiosks, comfort and dressing
rooms makes it ideal for seminars and conferences.
Description
A twin pool (one for adults and another for children) fed by a free-flowing
mineral spring water and shaded by coconut trees and other lush tropical plants.

IYUSAN RICE TERRACES
Location
Approximately 15 minutes by land transport from the town proper of Almeria.
Description
A replica of Ifugao ingenuity, the rice terraces symbolizes the wise use of
land resources and the sufficiency in staple food production for which Biliran
is noted for in the entire Region VIII.
